Information we collect

When you prepare or send a project inquiry, you may provide your name, email address, company name, project type, product stage, desired timeframe, project description, and confidentiality preferences. You may also provide information later through email or another agreed communication method.

Our hosting provider may automatically process limited technical information, such as an IP address, browser or device information, request timestamps, and security logs, to deliver and protect the website.

How we use information

We use inquiry information to respond to you, evaluate project fit and requirements, schedule discussions, prepare proposals or estimates, establish confidentiality terms, provide requested services, maintain business records, protect the website and our business, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not use project inquiries to enroll you in marketing email campaigns without separate permission.

How the inquiry form works

The contact form prepares a message and opens your email application. The website does not directly submit the form to a Ferent PCB Design database. If you send the prepared email, the information is transmitted through your email provider and received and retained through our business email provider.

Sharing and service providers

We may allow service providers, such as website hosting and business email providers, to process information as needed to provide their services. If a potential or active engagement requires a vetted designer, supplier, or professional adviser, relevant information may be shared only as reasonably necessary and subject to appropriate confidentiality and access controls. We do not sell personal information.

Confidential project information

Do not include proprietary CAD files, schematics, bills of materials, manufacturing files, trade secrets, export-controlled information, or other sensitive design data in an initial inquiry. Request confidentiality terms first. Selecting the confidentiality checkbox expresses your preference to discuss those terms; it does not itself create a nondisclosure agreement.

Retention and security

We retain inquiry and business records only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, manage a potential or active engagement, maintain appropriate business and legal records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed completely secure.

Cookies and similar technologies

We do not intentionally use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or tracking pixels on this website. Our hosting provider may use technologies that are strictly necessary to deliver, secure, and operate the site. If our practices change, this policy will be updated and any consent mechanism required by applicable law will be provided.

Your choices and rights

You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information you have provided, subject to records we must or are permitted to retain. Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide additional rights. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
